Description:
This is a fabulous quality late 19th Century Victorian three tier red walnut buffet / server / sideboard, retaining its original finish, having a lovely rich golden red walnut colour. The buffet stands on its original brass and brown china castors, rising above which are the turned tapering legs, having a canted moulded shelf, turned tapering legs and centre shelf, with more turned tapering supports and a matched walnut top with a canted cornered moulded edge and a raised gallery back with decorative scrollwork and moulded flare. A lovely quality piece of furniture that has come from "Stanbrook Abbey" in Worcestershire, former home of a community of Benedictine nuns under the title "Our Lady of Consolation", this beautiful Abbey set in the shadow of the Malvern Hills. A lovely quality piece of antique furniture from the late 19th Century Victorian period with very interesting provenance.

The buffet is in very nice condition, retaining its original finish, having good colour and patination.
