The item you're looking at is antique Art Nouveau light switch plate/cover.I'm not sure what type of metal is, it's heavy, looks brass on the backside and the front shows traces of brass but is dark gray. The back has raised manufacture name,EDMAR 60 T , it also has a SA in a circle. Plate measures 43/4in. x 3in. Thanks for looking, info and ?'s welcome .
