METICULOUS REPRODUCTION OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MAP OF THE CARIBBEAN ISLAND OF ST. MAARTEN / ST. MARTIN EVER DRAWN. Original was produced in 1817 by the Swedish artist-cartographer Samuel Fahlberg. Shows topography, coastal details, roads, salt ponds and lagoon, main towns (Philipsburg, Marigot, and Grand Case), and, with descriptive notations, where the boundary line between the French and Dutch sides ran at that time. If you know someone who loves St. Martin, this beautiful and historical map would make a perfect gift. It is on display and sold in the island's museums and galleries. Printed area measures approximately 20" X 15", on archival, acid-free paper. Margins are wider (3") than appear in pic. Perfect condition. Buyer pays $5.80 for shipping (in tissue paper and cardboard tube).
